Monkey Island is not actually an island, but a 7 mile wooded peninsula on over 415 acres of pristine landscape in the center of beautiful Grand Lake, offering sweeping panoramic views of this breathtaking body of water. Monkey Island offers several gated residential areas with primarily condominium living – single family or duplex cottages in small communities with amenities such as pool, tennis, play areas, and small marinas. In and amongst the condos are scattered private residences on and off the water. Many Island properties are second homes. There is definitely a vacation “feel” to Monkey Island, which is home to the excellent 36 hole Shangri-la golf course.
